VIDEO: Madeline Carrasco Henners’ Hopes for the Future

Screen Shot 2016-02-17 at 9.51.07 AMIn the first of a series of videos, the Rev. Madeline Carrasco Henners, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Luling, Texas, speaks from her heart and mind about the power of the UM Church’s global connection and her hopes for its future.

“As a young female elder,” says Carrasco Henners, “I want to be part of a church that empowers young people to seek that true, transformation that come only through Jesus Christ.”

Carrasco Henners goes on to add, “My hope moving forward in the United Methodist Church is that I would be part of a movement that is seeking to take the Gospel to new people and new places that have yet to know of the wonderful, transformative love of Jesus Christ.”

A dynamic, young pastor, Carrasco Henners recently appeared on the PBS news program “To the Contrary.” She is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and is an Elder in the Rio Texas Annual Conference.
