Cincinnati pastor is nominee to lead Board of Discipleship

The Rev. Timothy L. Bias, senior pastor of the multicampus Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church in Cincinnati, is the nominee to be the top executive of the United Methodist Board of Discipleship.

Mountain Sky Area Bishop Elaine J.W. Stanovsky, president of the Board of Discipleship, has notified the board of directors that the search committee will present Bias for the board’s vote when it meets Oct. 10-12. The Rev. Karen Greenwaldt plans to retire Dec. 31 after 13 years at the helm of the United Methodist Board of Discipleship and more than 30 years as a staff member with the agency.
